Production Workflow

Every Film Buddy production follows a documented workflow designed to protect client information and production material throughout the project lifecycle.

Capture → Secure Storage → Editing → Quality Assurance → Secure Delivery → Retention (where required) → Secure Deletion

Access to production footage is limited to authorised personnel directly involved in the project.

Data Protection

Film Buddy processes personal data responsibly and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Depending on the nature of the work, Film Buddy may act as either a Data Controller or a Data Processor. Where we process information on behalf of clients, we do so only in accordance with their documented instructions and contractual obligations.

Working with Freelance Professionals

Film Buddy regularly works with trusted freelance professionals to support productions across the UK.

Where contractors handle confidential information, production footage or personal data on our behalf, they are required to comply with Film Buddy’s confidentiality, information security and data protection requirements before undertaking work. This helps ensure that client information is handled securely and consistently throughout every project.

Insurance

Film Buddy maintains appropriate business insurance, including Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Evidence of insurance can be provided to clients as part of procurement or due diligence processes upon request.
